Surface Preparation
Make sure that all surfaces are clean, dry, structurally sound and free of any loose paint or other materials before applying construction adhesive.
Application Prep
Sand and roughen high-gloss paint to prepare surface for construction adhesive. Cut nozzle at 45° angle to a 1/4" bead size. Puncture inner seal with nail or wire.
Countertops
Apply a continuous 1/4" bead of construction adhesive to contact areas. Press firmly into place.
Backsplashes, Baseboards, and Window Seals
Apply a zig-zag 1/4" bead of construction adhesive to each material to be bonded. Press materials firmly into place. Bracing for 12 hours is recommended for vertical applications.
For Solid Surface Materials Such As Corian®
Lightly sand areas where you will be applying construction adhesive. Then apply a 1/4" bead of construction adhesive around the perimeter of the surface to be joined. Press firmly into place. Bracing for 12 hours is recommended for vertical applications. Corian® is a registered trademark of E. I. du Pont de Nemours and Company.
Drying Time
Tack-free in one hour. Dries within 24 hours. Fully cured in 48 hours.
Cleanup
If the construction adhesive is wet, use mineral spirits. If the construction adhesive has dried, scrape it away.
