Surface Preparation
Surfaces must be clean, dry and structurally sound.
Product Application
Cut and pre-fit materials prior to installation. Cut wall adhesive nozzle to desired bead size marked on nozzle. Puncture inner seal with nail or wire. IMPORTANT: For best results, set drywall onto wall adhesive within 15 minutes of application.
Walls
Apply a 1/4" bead of wall adhesive directly onto studs and plates. Press drywall firmly against wall adhesive and adjust as necessary. Holding drywall's outer edges, nail every 16" and, as necessary, inside the field. Note: If studding is perfectly true, nailing inside field will not be required.
Ceilings
Apply 1/4" bead of wall adhesive to rafters. Fasten drywall's outer edges with nails, 12" on center. Fasten center of field with a nail at each rafter. Drywall larger than 4' x 8' should be fastened with 2 nails in the field of each rafter.
Laminating
Apply a 1/4" bead of wall adhesive to structure. Some uses: bonding drywall to drywall and drywall to expanded insulation panels.
